D.A.R.T.-1 (Decide and React Target Ver.1)
© 2017
This target is designed for the instructor to use a verbal cue (such as color, shape, letter, or number). Upon exposure, the shooter will scan and make a decision to verbally challenge or use lethal force based on what the student observed. We also have a Version 2 target. Although similar, many of the lethal cues on Ver. 1, are "verbal challenge" cues on Ver. 2, and vice versa. When these targets are staggered on a firing line, this works on eliminating sympathetic fire by students. Both target versions come with an instructor "cheat sheet", to help conduct the shooting drills.
Version 1 and Version 2 can also be used together for a single student, providing advanced training in processing multiple unknowns. For instance, given the cue of "RED" would result in a "no shoot" on V1, but a lethal threat on V2. Once V2 threat has been engaged with effective hits, the student can give V1 the proper commands, such as "Police, get on the ground!"

This target is designed for the instructor to use a verbal cue (such as color, shape, letter, or number). Upon exposure, the shooter will scan and make a decision to verbally challenge or use lethal force based on what the student observed. Version 2 is similar to Ver. 1, many of the lethal cues on Ver. 1, will be challenge cues on Ver. 2, and vice versa. Both targets can be used independently. When these targets are staggered on a firing line, they help expose sympathetic fire by students as well as exposing those that try to "game" the drill and just shoot when others are. This helps the instructor identify those shooters and work on strengthening their skills. Both target versions come with an instructor "cheat sheet", to help conduct the shooting drills.
(Sold in packs of 100)
The only paper target that forces the student to process and positively identify a threat or not a threat, and that can vary a response for each interaction.
Hold your students accountable by making them scan, identify, and respond appropriately in training, which will improve their decision-making performance in their operational environment.
